| Are the guys in the heavily armed rigs hunting Minions? (I hope so; those annoying little things... annoy me. Maybe they'll bag a few Ewoks while they're at it!) I don't really need to Google the Rider - Francis Drake figure, now, do I? Just out of curiosity, maybe.... [EDIT TO ADD] I shouldn't have done that. She's a pirate! And the pirate version figurine is seriously cool! I do NOT need another pirate girl figurine in a totally odd scale, right? Right? One Piece Boa Hancock Pirate Girl Figurine by Banpresto (9 inches / 23 centimeters) _________________ ... DAVE

| Fun shots Dal! Always enjoy seeing humour used creatively in photographic shots. I am currently seeing a lot of those Minions in the charity shops here. - SCU_HQ wrote:

George Lucas' MOST annoying creation, ......but now thanks to Disney, we have porgs! Oh and Admiral Holdo! - SCU_HQ wrote:

I shouldn't have done that. She's a pirate! And the pirate version figurine is seriously cool! GOOD GRIEF! Seriously? Francis Drake and those sort of pirates are from the 16th century right? Elizabethan England? Who knew that way back then they had access to mammary augmentation? Silicone wasn't even invented till 1943! Sorry Dave, I'm NOT believing those massive frontal flotation devices she's showing off are in any way real! My car tyres have less pressure! Funny how history tells us that there were indeed a couple of female pirates, but in the main (pun intended), they dressed as men and were hardly beautiful, and yet all the modern movies and representations have them as surgically enhanced Playboy Centrefolds, full make-up, conditioned and salon styled hair, perfect teeth (HA! NO cosmetic dentistry back then!) and all outfitted (well just!) by Fredrick's of Hollywood that wouldn't last five minutes out at sea. Yet male pirates tend to be more realistically portrayed. Why?

| Just to clarify: that photo above is of a One Piece - Boa Hancock figure that I own. The Rider – Francis Drake figure is here (stolen image from some web site): Rider – Francis Drake Figure by Taito – 6 inch / 15cm – About $20 USD on eBay As you can see, both figures are similarly buoyant. They say most pirates couldn't swim, but in this case it wouldn't matter. It amused me to no end to see Chewbacca eating porgs. I'm sure that Ewoks eat them, too. Best to let the Ewoks wipe out the porgs before we start hunting Ewoks, I suppose. _________________ ... DAVE

If only somebody or thing had eaten that self-important Admiral Holdo early on in the movie! The longer she lived the more I hated that purple haired dippy dragon. |

| I like them too, but for me now their invariably moulded on clothing and weapons limit the scenarios you can create with them. I do have some tiny vintage blokes that actually have sewn removable clothing but they are now far too fragile for any rigorous adventures and remain relegated to the display shelf. |
