Just over RAF Skipton on Swale This Messerschmitt BF 109E-3 is shot down by an Allied fighter and crash lands near to the control Tower....

Mein propeller Voz shot clean from mein Wolfs nose..

This was shot on the original WW2 Battle Airfield of Skipton on Swale near Thirsk North Yorkshire and this is the remains of the original Control Tower.......

Excellent work, Ian, fantastic that you were able to set up your dio by the old air field, that is so cool!!!

Well, i dunno, but if it is that stressful having figures blow over,  maybe actual flight is not something you'd be interested in...but I agree, these make great static models for dios. I'm sure they are fun to fly, but...

I was setting up a little dio in a small park once and I heard a man calling his dog in the distance. A moment later the dog came over for a look see. I was a little dumbstruck and just froze while the dog sniffed a figure knocking it down. His master called him and he left. Later it occurred to me how easily he could have snatched the figure in his mouth and went away with it. I got lucky.

Cheers Brian yes a static build is my plan for now anyway, wow mate that hound could so easily have spoilt you day or even your year if it was one of your rare figures

Cheers Gary yes mate you can bet on that one, I've just picked up the undercarriage from the shop I bought it from, but still need the wheels and propeller but will find or build these just need to get the scale right

Cheers Ralph, it was that first Sour face that I got from you that started this project up, then I picked up the original sour puss so I had been piecing the Luftwaffe pilot together and as if by some miracle I found the plane in the junk shop I'd visited "Flukey or what"!! Yes its going to take some time, a set of 1/6th scale Messerschmitt plans with all the sizes would be a great help tho

No its on the dining room table in 2 pieces at the moment, NOT to the amusement of the missus

Here's the latest update with a few pics of my latest Luftwaffe pilot (A birthday present from James ) as well as a new set of wheels for the Messerschmitt (Made from a pair of VAM 105mm light gun wheels they fit perfectly )



Here's old sour mush and the New pilot having a briefing with a Fallschirmjager Captain who's in charge of guarding the airfield
