The handle itself is made from two pieces of wooden dowel superglued together. I slightly flattened the actual handle piece so that it would stick properly. Once dry I shaped with a scalpel and sand paper. I then made the plate from a hobby stick...one of those giant lolly sticks. Drilled a hole and superglued it together.

Building from scratch I think..as I cant seem to find anything that resembles the ideas that I have in my head.

Don't know about anyone else but my creations always manage to fall somewhat short of what I envisaged.

Oh I hear ya. In my head my stuff always looks epic...then it takes much longer to make than I planned..and I lose interest and just want it finished

Then it takes much longer to make than I had planned, and looks far less epic than I had visualized, and I lose interest and just want it gone! So after sitting around for months, in to the trash it goes!

Been building a desk this week.  Due to the fact that I over engineer everything I build it weighs almost  as much as a real desk
Ran out of crafting wood so I had to finish it with what I had left as the DIY stores are all shut.

Now we know what Rufus keeps in the top drawer

It's one of the best 1/6th desks I've seen and definitely deserves a more impressive chair behind it!

Yes! Great work Chris, but it's now plainly obvious that the troops have stolen (and re-purposed!   ) all the pages out of those books and filled 'em up with corrugated cardboard, hoping Rufus wouldn't notice!

After a chat about what to do with the other end of my study dio with Dal and Alex I decided to add a notice board.


But as per usual I cant do anything on a small scale...so it pretty much covers a whole wall   .......

Well Chris your just going to have to fill up that cork notice board with lots of important pieces of paper won’t you.
