| I really enjoyed reading and looking through the story of your latest finds from a new Barnardo' shop. I’m looking forward to seeing how you kit up your latest results and what you do with all the different random clothes and bits.

| Subject: a late Xmas catch up ! Sun Feb 11, 2018 1:37 pm | |
| Hi Folks Just grabbing an hour to catch up ... I had meant to post just after Xmas but work got in the way So here are some of the new additions Dreadnought and a Trooper try out this nice Assault craft with an outboard motor - from my little sister ( she is getting the message ) Next up came a bundle I bought on behalf my Mum -in-law " have some money Steve.." Came with this chap - elastic a little loose and with the pre requisite 1970 tattoo and blood ! Some nice bits of kit - no full sets but nice "starters for 10" to build on. Also got this guy - Thanks Ackie88 for spotting him- He is now fulfilling a key command role in the expanding Mortar Combat section of the 2nd Bn MAM Heavy Weapons Platoon Final set was a typical bundle from one of my sons & family Came with this head - someone has gone to town on the cammo - not sure if he can be brought back so may just find a role for him "as-is" Finally have done a quick conversion- The Stalker Twins. A simple headswap onto some Gi Joe CC bodies These two will become key NCO/Commanders in a couple of new units I'm working on -(Very intermitently ) Hope you enjoyed the quick catch up take care Steve | |

| Hi Folks So here is the latest addition - A Grand daughter !! Noa Grace Adjua So finally Got some time at the weekend to start sorting out some of the collection and start to get some of the guys in order So starting with the latest addition from my Birthday The 50th Division squad is building nicely. I have put this guy in charge. An Original GI JOE who came into the collection last year. He has some real battle scars - but I'm thinking he can whip the newbies into shape I'm wondering if he was a gift or one of the originals shipped over at the '66 launch? If only theses chaps could tell us their back story ! - I'll replace his hand when I can get one of the right colour. It will be worth the wait. Next I wanted to restore the 1st ~Bn Lads who stepped into the VAM84 project. I've got to say I love this "Basic Soldier" look gold star - especially on the EEBP figure. I've got the perennial problem with scarves, so adopted the 'bandage' method Benny Bee posted . I have 4 more late issue jumpers in the repair box - so the squad will continue to expand. The Munrovian need their regulars to help the 2nd Bn boys Next came the Para's- Nothing like the squads building up out there But a good start. Again I have about 5 jackets with busted Zips - waiting for Mrs Gunner to volunteer some time to see if we can convert them to press stud fastening "Will you sort out that Chuffin" Beret ! However the sorting did get out of control - lots still to do !! You can have too many figures ? - right ?? Ackie you will see that the MAM Squads are building nicely- those Urban Jump suits will be put to great use as will the boots and the weapons haul:cheers: Hope you enjoyed the look - I'm hoping to post a bit more regularly - my new years resolution | |

| Congratulations on your latest addition - A Grand daughter. That’s great to read that you finally had some time at the weekend were you started sorting out some of the collection and made a start on getting some of the guys in order. The 50th Division squad looks fabulous. Yes I totally agree with you If only theses chaps could tell us their back story or tell us they passed adventures they had back in the day. Can I ask what’s the 1st ~Bn Lads and what’s the VAM84 project? The Basic Soldier squad look BASIC which is a good thing in my book. Sorting is a sensible idea before it gets out of control. Yes I definitely spotted all the MAM Squads in the last picture and they sure are building up nicely. I know that your put those Urban Jump suits to great use as will the boots and the weapons haul and I’m very much looking forward to seeing them on what ever figure they’ll be on in future pictures. I really enjoyed looking and I do to hope to see post a bit more regularly from yourself Gunner. Posting a bit more regularly is a great new years resolution if you ask me . _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.

| Can I ask what’s the 1st ~Bn Lads and what’s the VAM84 project? Hi Ackie, sorry missed responding to this - Over on UAMHQ a few of us started to try and look at what the infamours VAM ramnge that was pulled at the last minute when Hasbro pulled the plug on VAM in 1984. Here are some shots trawled from the internet so you get the idea. Its such a shame as I really like the ideas and I think they would have sold well.- but hey what do I know I've lost the photo's, but I tried to convert a couple of EE BP Action Men- I think its a project I will return to at a later date The 1st Bn is the regular Battalion of the Munrovain army( mostly destroyed in the Dragonian surprise attack). The 2nd Bn are the reservists. Luckily D Company of 2nd Bn were on their annual exercise in the Mountains . So they are the only functioning resistance Unit fighting the advancing Dragonian hoards. They are collecting stray units and have become a focal point of the fight back. | |

| The new two man squad you’ve created look awesome. They look like a rescue specialist team. I’m loving the two close up shots of them. It’s just fantastic that you’ve individual shots showing us each member of the Island X attack Squad. The bad crack scouts got that we will track you down look about them.
I think your very creative at kitbashing Gunner. _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.
