A dramatic tale of adventure... right there in the comfort of your own home office! Proof positive that where Action Man is concerned, danger lurks around ever corner!
Glad you were able to turn the event in to an entertaining story, and that Dreadnoght will be well taken care of... eventually.
I especially like the "coming to" pic and the pic where he's crawling toward his cap.
Thanks for the comments folks ... and it happened again..One of the Battle Force Sergeants making an escape bid... I think the boys are saying - come on Gunner we were supposed to be played with! Summer is nearly over ...get us out there

Hi Team sorry if this is a repost ... I may have lost the original to cyberspace ...
Now the weather has turned to typical summer in the NW of England ...
and work is finally quieting down...( I hope .. I'm freelance and its all been unpaid prep.. and will now pickup after summer..)
I grabbed some time on the Strongpoint.
I started by giving the cardboard rendering a thinned coat of emulsion .. the aim to allow to soak . I then gave them a thinned coat of PVA glue to seal them . The aim is to then coat in Polyfilla or sprinkle sand on a second coat of paint.
Here is my working method with the scraps of the embossed brick... more sheets on order !!
Here is everything laid out ( bar roof and interior floor )
Command elements of the 2nd Battalion Munrovians take a look around
.
Thanks for looking

Fascinating work-in-progress pics! Thank you for sharing the details behind this build! It is looking impressive already! There are a lot of steps, and you obviously have a lot of patience, but the results are well worth the time and effort.

a couple of years back I got one of these in a Job lot bundle.
I really liked it. I put it on a Duke/Max Steele body combo and asked my Ammo brethren if they could Identify what it was...
Back came the reply from our resident MaM Guru - Prof Gangrene aka Alex.. Its a Mortar Raid figure... then I noticed a lone figure on a late night amble thru E-Bay... and before you could say place bid , confirm bid ....and with the help of Alex spotting said Mortar Raid ...
I have a Squad !!!
3 Teams ... not all complete and a nice mix between Grey and Black shirts. I have also mixed in a couple of non MR figures ( ones with out gloves).
I don't have a full compliment of caps so have mixed in the helmets from the Chad Valley Argos figures .
Commander
Alpha Team
Bravo team
Charlie team Man packing into fire base.
Fire mission !
Bravo Ready sir !
Teams await my Order !
Steady boys ..
The guys can also double as PBI too...
I'll be getting Lt Oceans guys out too if the weather holds ...some shots from the Draconian attack of 2017.
Thanks for looking

Oh, man, great set-ups here! I can almost see the movement in each pic! I can picture these guys running in, setting up, launching a barrage, and then being out of there in minutes, to set up and do it again from a location miles away! Nicely conveyed sense of urgency, activity, and intensity!
Truly excellent photos Steve! (And nice to see so many MAMs too!) I am SO going to pinch your layering technique for construction of damaged plaster over brick walls!

Thanks for all the comments guys ..
Barry on using card board , I'm also going to try and experiment with foam to counter a little bit of "warp and Lift" I've noticed as things dry out. I'm sure its nothing a bit more stay adhesive and using Polyfilla won't sort and it adds a bit to the dilapidated look:D
